Balsamic Glazed Tomatoes

Updated: May 7, 2020

These super yummy balsamic glazed tomatoes are perfect as a side dish or a little snack. And they're SO quick to throw together, as you can tell by this short little post (:Usually this is my go-to side for when I make Italian seasoned chicken, but feel free to use these however and whenever you want.

I found this tasty glaze at a grocery store called "Lucky's Supermarket," but you can find this pretty much anywhere. It's so sweet and tangy, I LOVE it! However it is fairly thick, so I like to splash a wee bit of balsamic vinegar (found near the oils & vinegar) on the tomatoes as well, it gives another level of flavor. There really isn't a specific amount to be measured, it's pretty much just to taste!

Ingredients:

  • 1 large tomato, sliced

  • balsamic glaze

  • balsamic vinegar

  • salt

  • basil (or parsley), chopped

Directions:

  1. Slice the tomato to desired thickness.

  2. Slowly (it will pour quick) pour a few drops of balsamic vinegar on tomatoes. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over tomatoes.

  3. Season with salt (and pepper if you like).

  4. Chop basil (or parsley) and sprinkle on top.

  5. Chill in fridge for serve immediately, it's up to you!
