Super quick & super easy morning toast! Really the only part of this post needing direction is how to make the cinnamon fried apples. (Who else thinks of Cracker Barrel?)
Ingredients:
1 apple, peeled and sliced
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp brown sugar
toast
peanut butter
Directions:
Peel an apple then slice it. If you have one of those nifty little apple slicing gadgets, use that, or slice to whatever shape and size you want.
Melt the butter over a medium-low heat. Add brown sugar and sliced apples, sprinkle the cinnamon on top.
Cook for ten minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning.
Once cooked, slap some peanut butter on your toast. Add your delicious, soft apples. Garnish with chopped nuts if you want, I used walnuts. Drizzle some honey for extra sweetness. Heck, drop some chocolate chips on there if you got 'em. Get crafty, have fun!
Like I said, the only thing really needing direction is the apples. Everything else just have fun with it, make something tasty and creative to your taste.
If you make this, any version of it, I would LOVE to see what you come up with. Share on Instagram and tag me @hersimplecooking or use the hashtag #hersimplecooking
